We all know the Ranger class is the jack-of-all-trades in GW. It doesn't have the highest dps, and can't interrupt aswell as a mesmer can nowadays. But we still love the profession, all i wanna know from you guys is why you love your little fella

cos it's tough. I know jq's not a great measure fo things, but i survive 90% of the time from attackers, while still putting out a respectable amount of dmg.

also conditions are ftw

I always liked phys chars and there were no Factions then so i made a Ranger and 2 weeks later a Warrior. I regret nothing ^_^

it was the first toon i made, and also my first GWAMM. half skill cost due to expertise rocks especially when using scythe attacks. and as OP stated, it's the jack of all trades. male ranger with primeval/dragon gauntlets/dread mask looks beast!

So this warrior and ranger were walking through the woods one day talking about which was the more effective in battle. The warrior kept rambling on and on about DPS, and how his 100B totally pwned enemy groups. The ranger just smiled and nodded in patronizing agreement.

As the two adventurers entered a clearing, they spotted a charr patrol moving in their direction. The warrior excitedly unsheathed his sword and hastily blurted out to the ranger, "Watch, I'll show you the mayhem that is the warrior!," as he began his enraging charge toward the charr dominator.

The ranger calmly drew his flatbow, and reading the direction of the wind he scanned the enemies (as he learned long ago from the Asura), then proceeded to quickly snipe each of them (pew, pew, pew). As the warrior entered melee range of the last repugnant charr, he drew back his blade in anticipation of glorious damage, only to feel an arrow woosh by his ear and into the left eye of the now-contorting body of the dying hexreaper.

Paragons look so badass using a bow. Its too bad they can't manage their energy for bow attacks outside of BA + glowing signet builds.

People don't rage and flame when your interrupting them again and again, like they will with a mes sometimes.

Females Ranger are straight G with the bow.

Magebane Shot
Punishing Shot
Broad Head Arrow

A ranger with Epidemic is pure sickness

They can upset people with spirits better then anyone else.

I liked the idea of being at one with nature, surviving with the things beforehand.

Also the armor and the ability to use a pet applied to me, even if the IA sucks.

Also, who cares if it's not the best class out there? It's fun to me, and fun is what games are all about. Variety and fun are the names of my game, so I'm glad the Ranger exists. Those obsessively looking for "efficiency" and discarding classes on DPS alone simply make me laugh.
